In 2006, our furniture company, The Elegant House was founded in Syria with a vision to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, offering unique and high-quality pieces to the local market. The initial years were marked by success and growth as the business gained recognition for its commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The company became a staple in the Syrian furniture industry, creating a niche for itself.

However, the onset of political unrest in Syria in 2011 brought unforeseen challenges. As the conflict escalated into a devastating civil war, our operations faced insurmountable obstacles. The safety of our employees and the preservation of our craftsmanship became increasingly difficult amid the turmoil. With a heavy heart, the decision was made to close the business temporarily in 2011 to prioritize the safety and well-being of our team.

Following the closure of our furniture company in Syria due to the war in 2011, the CEO, Yaser Alrifai faced a challenging but resilient journey. Determined to continue his passion for the furniture industry, he made the difficult decision to relocate to Jordan. In Jordan, Yaser found an opportunity to contribute his expertise to another furniture company. Despite the adversity, Yaser's skills and dedication endured, allowing him to seamlessly integrate into a new professional environment. This transition not only showcased their adaptability but also demonstrated the enduring spirit of the furniture industry and the individuals who drive its success, even in the face of unforeseen challenges.

In 2015, Yaser, undeterred by past challenges, seized an opportunity to move to England. Drawn by a new beginning, he immersed himself in the diverse and dynamic landscape. In 2019, fueled by a deep-rooted passion for furniture craftsmanship, Yaser decided to embark on a remarkable journey—restarting The Elegant House.
